Hi, my name is Mike Jelfs, thanks for visiting my website, it is as you would say still in the very early stages of development.

My interests are varied and a bit eclectic. My professional career in it´s early stages also had a very varied nature, from working at Leicester´s now long since demolished Cattle Market as an Auctioneers Clerk to Progress Chasing parts in the Nuclear Power Generation Industry.

In the early 1990´s however I joined the company started by George Davies to supply Clothes to ASDA initially in a Commercial Role then moving into the IT department, with responsibility for Management Information Reporting and Merchandise Planning systems development.

I left George in the Mid 1990´s to join IBM where I spent the next 10 years growing my expertise in the Architecture, Design, Configuration and Implementation of Merchandise Planning Applications, associated Business Processes and Reporting. I took the decision in 2006 to leave IBM and do the role independently.

I always try to offer an unbiased view based on my experience both Business Process and Technical, if the solution to a companies problems is implementing an expensive software solution or is better served by the creation of a simple spreadsheet, I would hope to give the best advice, even if this means I miss out on some consultation fees.
